Holy Family Syro-Malabar Church
Holy Family Church Mannila is a Catholic church located in Kottayam district in the Indian state of Kerala, about 10 kilometers away from Changanacherry; the Church is part of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. It was established in 1927. That year a cross was erected on Mannilakunnu – മാന്നിലക്കുന്ന് (a small hill area around 10 km from Changanachery) by Fr. Karingida Thomma with the help of members of Marthoma Dasa Sangham, a Christian youth organisation. This was the beginning of The Holy Family Church Mannila.
Parassala Mahadeva Temple
Parassala Sree Mahadeva temple is one of the foremost centres of worship in south Kerala and the temple is situated at the tiny village of Parassala adjoining the Kerala - Tamil Nadu boundary. Here the deity, Lord Siva is facing the west, which is considered as a rare phenomenon, and devotees even from far off places attend the worship. It was built by Mallen Chembakaraman Delava of Venad royal family. Parvathy devi in this temple is facing East towards the backside. The temple is centuries old and the structure is rare stone architecture and Parvathy Devi and Vighneswara are the upadevathas.
