Places to Visit Near Bhuj

'Palace of Mirrors') is an 18th-century palace that is located next to the Prag Mahal in Darbargadh, Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat, India. The palace was built by Rao Lakhpatji of Kutch State around 1750. Lakhpatji's master craftsman Ram Singh Malam designed the palace in the local style and decorated it in the European style with glass, mirrors and tiles. The palace had two floors; the first floor contained the Audience Hall, the Pleasure Hall, the Hall of Mirrors and the State Apartments, and the second floor has the antechamber, Darbar (Court) Hall and Marriage Hall.

A fort made by ancient rulers to protect the city. Now it is open for common public to see. A sure shot favorite if photography is your interest. You can get a nice panoramic view of whole city from here.

The cenotaphs of rulers is a picturesque place. Featured in Bollywood movies, the place and garden around it makes a nice time.

The literal translation of Aaina Mahal is an apt one. A beautiful palace now renovated after the massive earthquake in 2001. It also houses a handicraft museum where crafts from various parts of Kutch have been placed.
