Senchal Lake

Senchal lake, located 10 km to the south-east of Darjeeling, is the main reservoir of potable water for the town of Darjeeling, India. The water body is actually a twin lake: North Senchal lake, built in 1910 and South Senchal lake, built in 1932. The lake is located at an altitude of 8,160 ft (2,487 m) atop a hill. The hill also has one of the highest golf courses in the world. Senchal is a favourite picnic spot.

Rock Garden

The Rock Garden (also known as Barbotey Rock Garden) at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a tourist attraction meant to attract people to Darjeeling after political agitations disrupted tourism in the 1980s. There is another rock garden in Darjeeling known as Sir John Anderson Rock Garden, which is part of Lloyd's Botanical Garden. Mahakal temple

The Mahakal temple or Mahakal mandir is a sacred Hindu temple located in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, the third god in the Hindu triumvirate. The temple was built in 1782 by Lama Dorjey Rinzing and is perched atop the Observatory Hill and is an amalgamation of Hindu and Buddhist religions. It is a religious site where both religions coexist harmoniously. Ghum Monastery

Old Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling. The monastery belongs to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect and is known for its 15 feet (4.6 m)-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha. The external structure of the building was established in 1850 by the Mongolian astrologer and monk Sokpo Sherab Gyatso, who was head of the monastery until 1905. In 1909, Kyabje Domo Geshe Rinpoche Ngawang Kalsang, popularly called Lama Domo Geshe Rinpoche, succeeded Sherab Gyatso as the head. It was he who commissioned the statue of the Maitreya Buddha, and he remained head until 1952.

Tukvar Tea Garden

Tukvar Valley is a valley in the Darjeeling Pulbazar CD block in the Darjeeling Sadar subdivision of the Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. Tukvar Tea Garden in Tukvar Valley is composed mainly of many divisions, 1st Division, 2nd Division (Limbu Busty), 3rd Division-Lepcha Busty, 4th Division and Puttabong. The valley as a whole comprises Singamari, Puttabong, Soom T.E, Tukvar Tea Estate, Singla Tea Estate. The Darjeeling-Jorethang road is the prime route of this valley, which connects Darjeeling with Sikkim. In early days it was used by the traders from Sikkim to reach Darjeeling's Gundri Bazar.

Happy Valley Tea Estate

Happy Valley Tea Estate is a tea garden in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Established in 1854, it is Darjeeling's second oldest tea estate. Spread over 177 hectares (440 acres), it is situated at a height of 2,100 metres (6,900 ft) above sea level, 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north of Darjeeling, and employs more than 1500 people. Happy Valley Tea Estate is a tea garden in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Established in 1854, it is Darjeeling's second oldest tea estate.

St. Andrew's Church

St. Andrew's Church is a heritage Anglican church situated in Darjeeling, in the Indian state of West Bengal. Established on 30 November 1843, it is the oldest church in Darjeeling. Worshippers at St. Andrew's were principally the Scottish soldiers and tea planters resided in Darjeeling town. After heavy damage sustained by a devastating lightning strike in 1867, it was rebuilt in 1873. The clock tower of the St. Andrew's Church was built in 1883.
