Digha Gate

Digha Gate is an entrance gate built on the National Highway 116B in the coastal town of Digha, India, near the Bay of Bengal. The gate is also known as the Gateway of Digha and the Digha Welcome Gate. The gate was formerly known as Brighton of Calcutta. Construction was completed in late 2014. On 25 November 2014, it was inaugurated by Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee.

Talasari Beach

Talasari Beach is a beach in the Baleswar district of Odisha, India. It lies on the north-eastern coast of India. The name Talasari is derived from the two Odia words Tala (meaning Palm) and Sari/Sarani (meaning row). The palm trees surrounding the place give such a name to it. The word Tala also means rhythm, which is reflected in the sea waves lapping against the shore.

Shri Jagannath Temple

The newly-built temple in New Digha, built in 2022-2025 to rival the Jagannath Dham in Puri. Like the Puri temple, this temple is also built in the Kalinga architecture, with a blend of the Nagara architecture. The Jagannath Temple at Digha, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Jagannath, located in the town of Digha, Purba Medinipur district, West Bengal, India. The temple enshrines the deity Jagannath, a form of Vishnu, along with his siblings Balarama and Subhadra. The temple was inaugurated on 30 April 2025 after a prana pratishtha (consecration) ceremony.

Marine Aquarium and Regional Centre

This is possibly the most well-equipped marine aquarium in India, but the collection of specimens is poor. Some common local fish are kept in this huge aquarium.

New Digha Beach

One of the most popular beaches in West Bengal, and the best place for a safe dip. The beach here is flat and it gets overcrowded, especially during the cooler winter break. Beer is generally served at the beach by the enterprising locals who would accept payment later by coming with you to your hotel. Beware, they may ask a high price for beer. Other activities in the beach include horse riding, sunbathing, volleyball, cricket, football etc.

Old Digha Beach

The original beach, popular among older generations. However, Old Digha is not safe and conducive for bathing. It is not as wide as it used to be due to heavy soil erosion. Big stones and concrete steps are used to hold together the beach.
