Karwar Itineraries

Day 1

Start with a morning at Rabindranath Tagore Beach, then take a boat across the Kali estuary to Devbagh Beach for watersports and lunch. In the afternoon, sail to Kurumgad Island for a beach walk and shrine visit, returning to Karwar for sunset at the beach.

Day 1: Town Beaches and Island Escapes

Explore Karwar's historic town beach, now known as Rabindranath Tagore Beach, then take a boat to the secluded Devbagh Beach sandbar. In the afternoon, visit Kurumgad Island for its forested trails, Narasimha shrine, and snorkeling.

Day 2: Anshi National Park Excursion

Drive inland to Anshi National Park, part of the Kali Tiger Reserve, a dense Western Ghats rainforest. Enjoy a guided nature walk or safari, spotting wildlife like the rare melanistic leopard, and visit the Kali River viewpoint near the Sadashivgad bridge on your return.

Dedicate the day to the Devbagh sandbar and Kurumgad Island. Take a boat from Devbagh to the island, enjoy snorkelling and the Narasimha shrine, then return for a relaxing afternoon at the Jungle Lodges & Resorts camp.
