Nilambur

British forester Hugh Cleghorn established Nilambur’s teak plantations in 1844 as one of the earliest scientific forestry experiments anywhere, and the surviving century-and-a-half-old plots remain a working forest and a reference site for tropical silviculture research to this day. Nilambur sits at an elevation of 42 m. The most favourable months to visit are November, December, January, and February, when conditions are best suited for sightseeing. Nearby points of interest include Kanjirapuzha Dam, Nilambur Kovilakam, and Teak Museum. Juma Mosque

The Juma Mosque, also known as the Pullancheri Juma Masjid, is a Friday mosque, located in the village of Pullancheri, near the town of Manjeri, in the Malappuram district of the state of Kerala, India. The mosque was built in the 1920s. There are five srambis under the mosque. The mosque is governed by the Hidayathul Islam Sangham Committee, whose president is Sayed Hyderali Shihab Thangal of Panakkad. The mosque administers the Nusrathul Islam Madrasa.
