Things to Do in Mandvi

It is a summer palace of erstwhile royal family of Kutch. Built in 1929 by Vijayrajji. Made of red sandstone in Rajpur architectural style. Great rooftop balconies giving fantastic view of the sea and surrounding greenery. Open 9AM-1PM, 3PM-6PM. ₹50, parking ₹10, photography ₹100

An isolated beach with mostly no people or some locals playing cricket.

Traditional shipbuilding from wood can be seen along the old port on mouth of Rukmavati river. These 400 years old industry still use traditional methods of building plank by plank. The timber industry of the town depend on this.

The streets of the old town is dotted with old Havelis of wealthy merchants of the town of bygone era. The facades of the havelis depict European influences including angels and faces as well as stained glass windows. The market is busting in day and empty at night.
