Patna Museum

It has more than 50,000 rare art objects, with many related to India in the ancient, middle ages and the British colonial era. Don't forget to see the Holy Relic Casket with the sacred ashes of Lord Buddha, and the beautiful statue Yakshani. Patna Museum is the state museum of the Indian state of Bihar. Founded on 3 April 1917 during the British Raj to house the historical artefacts found in the vicinity of Patna, it is constructed in the style of Mughal and Rajput architecture, and is known locally as the Jadu Ghar. Artefacts from the ancient India era to 1764 have now been transferred to Bihar Museum.

Indira Gandhi Planetarium

Among the largest and best planetariums in Asia, it attracts a large number of both domestic and foreign tourists. The planetarium has regular film shows on subjects related to astronomy and also holds exhibitions. The Indira Gandhi Planetarium, also known as the Patna Planetarium, is located in Patna's Indira Gandhi Science Complex. The planetarium was constructed through Bihar Council on Science & Technology at a total cost of about ₹110 million (equivalent to ₹1.2 billion or US$12 million in 2023). It was conceptualised in 1989 by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Satyendra Narain Sinha with construction commencing in the same year, and opened for the public from 1 April 1993.

Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir

A crafts museum and a multi-purpose cultural centre. The building contains dance and drama studios, a gallery space, and an art museum. The Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir is an arts and crafts museum and a multi-purpose cultural centre located in Patna, in the capital of Bihar, India.

Pathar ki Masjid

Built by Pervez, the elder brother of Shah Jahan and the first Mughal prince who made Bihar his residence. The Pathar Ki Masjid stands on the bank of river Ganges near the Takht Shri Harmandir Saheb in the city of Patna. Parviz Mirza, son of Jahangir, established Pathar Ki Masjid in 1621. The structure is built of stone, and so it got its name as Pathar Ki Masjid. It is located on Ashok Rajpath between Sultanganj and Alamganj.

Takht Sri Patna Sahib

The birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. Takht Sri Patna Sahib also known as Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, is one of the five takhts of the Sikhs, located in Patna, Bihar, India. The edifice has been reconstructed at least twice; in the early 19th century after a fire and in the mid-20th century after an earthquake.

Gandhi Sangrahalaya

A public museum showcasing the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. It contains an exhibition containing photos, paintings, sculptures, manuscripts and quotations; all the major events in his life are told here. There is also a section containing photographs of his childhood through the various phases of Gandhi's life, including being taken to the crematorium. The building also houses a library which has a rich collection of books, magazine, literature and audio-video material related to Gandhi's life.

Shrikrishna Science Centre

The main science museum in the city with over 50 exhibits on physics and mathematics, with an emphasis towards optical illusions. Targeted towards kid aged 10 and over but adults will also have an enjoyable time the first time around.
