Rajarajeshwara Temple

The Rajarajeshwara Temple is a Hindu temple in Taliparamba, Kannur district, Kerala, India, dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva. It is one of the 108 Shiva Temples of Kerala and one of the Dwadasha Shivalayam (12 important Shiva temples of ancient Kerala, stretching from Gokarnam to Kanyakumari). It also has a prominent place amongst the numerous Shiva temples in South India. It had the tallest shikhara amongst the temples of its time. The Rajarajeshwara temple has a top of about 90 tonnes.

Trichambaram Temple

Trichambaram Temple is a Krishna temple located in Taliparamba, in the Kannur district of Kerala, South India. The main deity of the temple is Krishna after "Kamsavadham" sitting in His "Raudra" posture (ferocious posture). The Temple is among the Abhimana Kshethrams, which is a list of holy Vaishnavite shrines. The temple is also mentioned in the 11th century CE Sanskrit kāvya "Mūṣikavaṃśa". The sanctum has carvings and murals from the 15th and 16th centuries.

District Agricultural Farm

Established in 1905 by Sir Charles Alfred Barber, this is the oldest continuously-operating government farm in Kerala. The farm has a rich bio diversity in 56 acres. The crops include coconut, areca nut, cashew, mango, sapota, jack, coffee, cocoa, nutmeg, clove and pepper and the adjoining paddy field attracts many nature lovers and environmentalists to the farm. Recognizing the importance of the flora and fauna of the station, Kannur District Panchayat established a Biodiversity Centre and an Indigenous Technology Knowledge Centre at the farm in 2005.

Syed Nagar village is a very beautiful place with cute undulating open landscape ideal for a peaceful evening walk. Tagore Higher Secondary School and the pretty Syed Nagar Masjidh are located here. The road to Kuttiyeri hanging bridge starts from here, and it is 3 km from here.
