Maneri Dam
The Maneri Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Bhagirathi River located at Maneri, 8.5 kilometres (5.3 mi) east of Uttarkashi in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, India. The primary purpose of the dam is to divert water into a tunnel which feeds the 90-megawatt (120,000 hp) run-of-the-river Tiloth Power Plant. Dodi Tal
Dodital, also known as Dhundhital, is a beautiful lake nestled in the high mountains of the Assi Ganga Valley in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Surrounded by tall oak and deodar trees, the lake is peaceful, scenic, and full of rare freshwater trout. It is also believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha, adding spiritual value to its natural charm. Dodital is the source of the Assi Ganga River, which later merges with the Bhagirathi River at Gangori. Interestingly, the actual depth of the lake is still unknown.
Dayara Bugyal
Dayara Bugyal is a high-altitude grassland and one of the most beautiful meadow treks in India. Located in Uttarkashi, it is a beginner-friendly trek and also one of the best winter treks in Uttarakhand. The trek is known for its wide green pastures and stunning views of the Garhwal Himalayas, including Mt. Bandarpunch, Black Peak, Srikanth, Draupadi Ka Danda (DKD), Janoli, and the Gangotri range. It’s a 3 to 4-day trek starting and ending at Raithal basecamp, covering around 22 km round trip, though the distance may vary depending on how much you walk around the meadows.
Saat Taal
Set amongst dense forests of oak and pine trees, Sattal is one of the few unspoiled and unpolluted freshwater biomes in India. These lakes are a paradise for migratory birds. It is home to a few camps being operated mostly by local people catering to tourists looking for outdoor vacations
Chaurangi Khaal
A small town located at a lower pass in the Himalayas. It is not far from Nachiketa Tal Lake.
