Tour Overview
Auli is India's best-known ski slope, a wide meadow at about 2,500–3,000 m above Joshimath, facing Nanda Devi, Kamet and Dronagiri. In winter the meadows turn into ski runs and the oak and deodar forest around them is heavy with snow.
Snowfall Tour: Late Dec 2026 – Feb 2027 (snowfall season)
From January to March Auli is usually under deep snow, and the slopes open for skiing and snow play, with ski instructors and gear hire on the meadow. Days are bright and cold, nights are well below zero, and after a fresh snowfall the view of Nanda Devi from the slopes is one of the finest in the Himalaya.
