Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Salem in the morning. Drive from Salem to BR Hills (about 204 km, 4 hrs). Check in at your hotel in BR Hills. Drive past Chamarajanagar into the Biligiri Rangana hills, where the Western and Eastern Ghats meet; the forest here is a tiger reserve (BRT) and a corridor for elephants. Check in at your forest stay and go on the afternoon safari, looking for gaur, sambar, elephants and, with luck, a tiger or leopard. Overnight stay in BR Hills.
