Day 1

Goa to Chikmagalur

Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Goa in the morning. Drive from Panaji to Chikkamagaluru (about 440 km, 8 hrs 45 min). Check in at your hotel in Chikkamagaluru. Check in at a coffee estate stay. Visit the Coffee Board museum and spend the evening at Hirekolale Lake, with the hills reflected in the water at sunset. Overnight stay in Chikkamagaluru.

Day 2

Mullayanagiri and Baba Budangiri

Drive up to Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, and climb the last 500 steps to the small temple at the top. Continue along the ridge to Baba Budangiri, the shrine of the Sufi saint said to have brought coffee to India, and take a jeep to the Jhari waterfalls (paid locally). Overnight stay in Chikkamagaluru.

Belur and back to Goa
