Tour Overview

Tungnath, at about 3,680 m, is the highest Shiva temple in the world, and above it the rocky top of Chandrashila looks across to Nanda Devi, Trishul and Chaukhamba. In winter the whole walk from Chopta is a snow trek, short enough for fit beginners.

Snowfall Tour: Late Dec 2026 – Feb 2027 (snowfall season)

From late December to March the trail from Chopta to Tungnath and Chandrashila is usually under snow, which turns a simple temple walk into a proper winter trek. The air is at its clearest between snowfalls, giving the widest Himalayan views of the year. Nights are well below zero, so this plan sleeps at Chopta only before the trek and lower down after it.

This 4-day, 3-night package starts and ends in Haridwar. The route runs Haridwar → Chopta → Ukhimath → Haridwar, about 527 km in all. Choose how you travel: cab or bus. Every price includes 3-star hotels with breakfast and all sightseeing transport.
