Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Guwahati in the morning. Drive from Guwahati to Shillong (about 99 km, 2 hrs). Check in at your hotel in Shillong. The road climbs from the Brahmaputra plains into the Khasi hills. Stop at the viewpoint over Umiam Lake, the big reservoir ringed by pine hills just before Shillong. After checking in, walk around Ward's Lake and spend the evening in Police Bazaar, the busy centre of the town. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Drive from Shillong to Mawlynnong (about 72 km, 1 hr 30 min), from Mawlynnong to Dawki (about 29 km, 30 min) and from Dawki to Guwahati (about 175 km, 3 hrs 30 min), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Guwahati.
