Day 1

Kolhapur to Gokarna

Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Kolhapur in the morning. Drive from Kolhapur to Gokarna (about 334 km, 6 hrs 45 min). Check in at your hotel in Gokarna. Visit the Mahabaleshwar temple of the Atmalinga (men remove shirts and wear a dhoti inside) and the Maha Ganapati temple. Walk down to Gokarna Main Beach for sunset. Overnight stay in Gokarna.

Day 2

Om Beach and on to Murudeshwar

Today's travel: from Gokarna to Murudeshwar (about 77 km, 1 hr 30 min). Spend the morning at Kudle and Om beaches, walking the cliff trail between them. After lunch, drive south to Murudeshwar, about two hours away, stopping at the Idagunji Ganapati temple. Visit the Shiva statue and the Raja Gopura in the evening. Overnight stay in Murudeshwar.
