Day 1

Chandigarh to Haridwar

Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Chandigarh in the morning. Drive from Chandigarh to Haridwar (about 221 km, 4 hrs 30 min). Check in at your hotel in Haridwar. Check in at Haridwar and take the ropeway up to the Mansa Devi temple. In the evening, go early to Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga aarti, with thousands of floating lamps. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2

Haridwar to Rishikesh

Today's travel: from Haridwar to Rishikesh (about 24 km, 30 min). Take the ropeway to the Chandi Devi temple in the morning, then drive to Rishikesh. Walk across Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, browse the shops along the river, and attend the evening aarti at Triveni Ghat or Parmarth Niketan. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Rishikesh to Chandigarh

Visit the Beatles Ashram, now covered in murals, and Parmarth Niketan in the morning. River rafting from Shivpuri can be arranged if you like (paid separately, about September to June). Start home after lunch. Drive from Rishikesh to Chandigarh (about 208 km, 4 hrs 15 min), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Chandigarh. The tour ends here.
