Day 1

Delhi to Kanatal

Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Delhi in the morning. Drive from Delhi to Kanatal (about 297 km, 6 hrs). Check in at your hotel in Kanatal. Drive past Dehradun and up through Mussoorie and Dhanaulti to Kanatal, or via Rishikesh and Chamba, about eight to nine hours. Warm up by the camp fire in the evening. Overnight stay in Kanatal.

Day 2

Surkanda Devi, Dhanaulti and New Year's Eve

Drive to Kaddukhal and walk up (about 2 km) to the Surkanda Devi temple at about 2,750 m for a view of the snow peaks from Bandarpunch to Chaukhamba. Then visit the deodar forest of the Dhanaulti eco park. Back at camp for the New Year's Eve bonfire and dinner. Overnight stay in Kanatal.

Day 3

Tehri lake view and back to Delhi

A slow New Year's morning, a walk in the Kodia forest near the camp and a stop at a viewpoint over the Tehri lake, then the drive back to the plains. Drive from Kanatal to Delhi (about 297 km, 6 hrs), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Delhi. The tour ends here.
