Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Lucknow in the morning. Drive from Lucknow to Khajuraho (about 300 km, 6 hrs). Check in at your hotel in Khajuraho. Walk through the Western Group of Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by the Chandela kings around 950–1050. The Kandariya Mahadeva temple rises in a series of peaks like the Himalayas, and the Lakshmana, Vishvanatha and Chitragupta temples are covered in carvings of gods, celestial women, warriors and lovers. In the evening, watch the light and sound show in the temple garden. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.
