Kodaikanal Madurai Rameswaram Kanyakumari Tour Package 6 Days Itinerary

 Day 01: Arrival in Coimbatore – Transfer to Kodaikanal & Local Sightseeing

Morning:

Arrive at Coimbatore International Airport or railway station. You will be met and transferred to Kodaikanal, a picturesque hill station located approximately 190 km (5 hours) away by road.

Afternoon:

Upon arrival in Kodaikanal, check into your hotel and freshen up. Begin your sightseeing with a visit to Coaker’s Walk, a scenic pedestrian path offering panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Proceed to the Green Valley View, which provides breathtaking views of the lush green valleys.

Evening:

Explore Kodai Lake, a star-shaped lake ideal for a relaxing boat ride. Visit Bryant Park, known for its well-maintained gardens and colorful flowerbeds. Enjoy a leisurely evening at the park or lake before heading back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kodaikanal.

Day 02: Kodaikanal – Full Day Local Sightseeing

Morning:

After breakfast, start your full day of exploration. Visit the Pillar Rocks, impressive rock formations offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Head to the Silent Valley View, known for its serene and picturesque beauty.

Mid-Morning:

Proceed to Berijam Lake, a serene and scenic lake surrounded by dense forests. (Note: Prior permission is required for visiting Berijam Lake, so we will try to cover this if possible; otherwise, it will be skipped.)

Afternoon:

Visit the Silver Cascade Falls, a beautiful waterfall cascading down from a height. Explore the Devil’s Kitchen (Guna Caves), known for its mysterious and dramatic rock formations. Continue to the Pine Forest, a picturesque spot surrounded by tall pine trees.

Evening:

Visit the Kurinji Andavar Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan and known for its beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kodaikanal.

Day 03: Kodaikanal to Madurai – Local Sightseeing

Morning:

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Madurai, which is approximately 125 km (2.5 hours) away by road. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and refresh.

Afternoon:

Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the Meenakshi Amman Temple, renowned for its stunning architecture and vibrant sculptures. Explore the Pudhu Mandapam, an ancient marketplace with intricate carvings.

Mid-Afternoon:

Visit the Thirumalai Nayak Palace, known for its grand architecture blending Dravidian and Islamic styles. Proceed to Thiruparankundram Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, where their divine faces are believed to face each other.

Evening:

Explore the Gandhi Memorial Museum, showcasing Mahatma Gandhi’s life and the Indian independence movement. Enjoy a leisurely evening and return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 04: Madurai to Rameswaram – Local Sightseeing

Morning:

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Rameswaram, located approximately 170 km (4.5 hours) away by road. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up.

Afternoon:

Visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India, known for its grandeur and sacred significance. Explore Agnitheertham, a holy bathing spot near the temple.

Mid-Afternoon:

Head to Dhanushkodi, the abandoned town with mythological significance, and visit the Gandhamadhana Parvatham, the highest point on the island believed to have Lord Rama’s footprint.

Evening:

Relax at your hotel or explore local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel in Rameswaram.

Day 05: Rameswaram to Kanyakumari

Morning:

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kanyakumari, approximately 310 km (6.5 hours) away by road.

Afternoon:

Arrive in Kanyakumari and check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the local area.

Evening:

Enjoy the beautiful sunset at the southernmost tip of India, where the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Bay of Bengal meet. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kanyakumari.

Day 06: Kanyakumari to Trivandrum – Departure

Early Morning:

Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise at Kanyakumari.

Morning:

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Trivandrum, located approximately 105 km (2.5 hours) away by road.

Afternoon:

Transfer to Trivandrum International Airport or railway station for your onward journey, concluding your tour.
