Day 1

Jaipur to Lansdowne

Reach Kotdwar by train from Jaipur, where our driver meets you. Drive from Kotdwar to Lansdowne (about 44 km, 1 hr). Check in at your hotel in Lansdowne. Stop at the Siddhbali temple on the river at Kotdwar before the climb. In Lansdowne, visit the Darwan Singh regimental museum of the Garhwal Rifles (closed on some days, check locally) and the war memorial, then go boating on Bhulla Tal. Walk to St Mary's Church in the evening. Overnight stay in Lansdowne.

Tip-n-Top and back to Jaipur

Go up to Tip-n-Top (Tiffin Top) early for the view of the Garhwal and Kumaon snow peaks on a clear morning, and visit the Santoshi Mata temple nearby. If you have extra time, the Tarkeshwar Mahadev temple in a deodar forest is about 36 km away. Drive from Lansdowne to Kotdwar (about 44 km, 1 hr). Board the train from Kotdwar back to Jaipur (about 513 km), and the tour ends.
