Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Mumbai in the morning. Drive from Mumbai to Matheran (about 80 km, 1 hr 30 min). Check in at your hotel in Matheran. Matheran is a car-free hill station at about 800 m: vehicles stop at Dasturi Naka, and from there you walk, ride a horse or take a hand-pulled rickshaw into the town on red-earth paths (or come up by the toy train from Neral when it runs). In the afternoon, walk to Charlotte Lake and Echo Point, and watch the sunset from Louisa Point or Porcupine Point. Overnight stay in Matheran.
