Day 1

Thane to Matheran

Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Thane in the morning. Drive from Thane to Matheran (about 67 km, 1 hr 15 min). Check in at your hotel in Matheran. The cab stops at Dasturi Naka, from where you walk about 2.5 km, ride a horse or take a hand-pulled rickshaw to your hotel; porters carry the bags. After lunch, walk to Charlotte Lake, then Echo Point and Louisa Point for the views over the Sahyadri. End the day at Porcupine (Sunset) Point. Overnight stay in Matheran.
