Day 1

Delhi to Mukteshwar

Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Delhi in the morning. Drive from Delhi to Mukteshwar (about 342 km, 6 hrs 45 min). Check in at your hotel in Mukteshwar. Drive up past Haldwani and Bhimtal and along the ridge through Ramgarh, known for its fruit orchards, to Mukteshwar. Evening walk in the village and the first view of the snow peaks at sunset. Overnight stay in Mukteshwar.

Day 2

Mukteshwar Dham, Chauli ki Jali and New Year's Eve

Visit the Mukteshwar Dham temple of Shiva on the hilltop, said to be over 350 years old, and walk to Chauli ki Jali, rock cliffs with a sheer drop and a view over the valleys. Walk through the heritage campus of the old veterinary institute and the orchards in the afternoon. New Year's Eve dinner and bonfire at the hotel. Overnight stay in Mukteshwar.

Day 3

Nainital and back to Delhi

New Year's sunrise over the peaks, then drive to Nainital for a boat ride on Naini lake and a walk on the Mall Road before heading back down to the plains. Drive from Mukteshwar to Nainital (about 51 km, 1 hr) and from Nainital to Delhi (about 274 km, 5 hrs 30 min), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Delhi. The tour ends here.
