Udupi and Murudeshwar
Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Mangaluru in the morning. Drive from Mangaluru to Udupi (about 55 km, 1 hr) and from Udupi to Murudeshwar (about 102 km, 2 hrs). Check in at your hotel in Murudeshwar. Drive up the coast, stopping at Udupi for darshan at the Krishna Matha. Reach Murudeshwar in the afternoon: the temple stands on Kanduka Hill, a headland in the sea, under a huge seated Shiva statue about 37 m tall. Take the lift up the 20-storey Raja Gopuram for the view along the coast, and watch the sunset from the beach. Overnight stay in Murudeshwar.

Kollur Mookambika and back
Drive north to Kollur at the foot of the Kodachadri hills for darshan at the Mookambika temple, where the goddess is worshipped with a swayambhu linga and Adi Shankaracharya is said to have installed her image. On the way back, stop at Maravanthe, where the highway runs between the sea and the Souparnika river. Drive from Murudeshwar to Kollur (about 60 km, 1 hr 15 min) and from Kollur to Mangaluru (about 125 km, 2 hrs 30 min), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Mangaluru. The tour ends here.
