Day 1

Vadodara to Mysore via Srirangapatna

Reach Mysuru by train from Vadodara, where our driver meets you. Drive from Mysuru to Srirangapatna (about 19 km, 30 min) and from Srirangapatna to Mysuru (about 19 km, 30 min). Check in at your hotel in Mysuru. Stop at Srirangapatna on the way for the Ranganathaswamy temple and Tipu Sultan's painted summer palace. Check in at Mysore, and in the evening watch the musical fountain at Brindavan Gardens below the KRS dam. Overnight stay in Mysuru.

Mysore and back to Vadodara

Visit the Mysore Palace in the morning (on Sundays and festival nights it is lit up from 7 pm), then drive up Chamundi Hill to the Chamundeshwari temple, stopping at the giant Nandi on the way down. See St Philomena's Cathedral before starting home. Board the train from Mysuru back to Vadodara (about 1,383 km), and the tour ends.
