Indore to Omkareshwar
Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Indore in the morning. Drive from Indore to Omkareshwar (about 78 km, 1 hr 45 min). Check in at your hotel in Omkareshwar. Drive through the Vindhya hills to the Narmada. Cross the footbridge to Mandhata island for darshan at the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, then at Mamleshwar on the south bank; together they count as the Jyotirlinga. Take a boat ride on the river and attend the Narmada aarti at the ghats in the evening. Overnight stay in Omkareshwar.

Parikrama, Maheshwar and back
Walk part of the parikrama path around the island in the cool of the morning and see Ekatma Dham, the tall statue of Adi Shankaracharya on the hill. On the way back, stop at Maheshwar, Ahilyabai Holkar's capital, for her fort, the ghats on the Narmada and the Maheshwari handloom weavers. Drive from Omkareshwar to Maheshwar (about 66 km, 1 hr 15 min) and from Maheshwar to Indore (about 83 km, 1 hr 45 min), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Indore. The tour ends here.
