Madurai to Palani
Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Madurai in the morning. Drive from Madurai to Palani (about 114 km, 2 hrs 15 min). Check in at your hotel in Palani. Drive to Palani. Climb the hill by the steps, as pilgrims carrying kavadi do, or ride the winch, for darshan of Lord Dhandayuthapani, whose idol is said to have been made by the siddha Bogar from nine minerals. In the evening, have darshan at Thiru Avinankudi at the foot of the hill and watch the golden chariot circle the hilltop shrine. Overnight stay in Palani.

Thirupparankundram and Pazhamudircholai
Drive back to Madurai for two more abodes. At Thirupparankundram, Murugan's shrine is cut into the rock of the hill where he married Deivanai, the first of the six abodes. In the Alagar hills, after the Alagar Kovil, climb to Pazhamudircholai, the sixth abode, among the forest. The yatra ends in Madurai. Drive from Palani to Thirupparankundram (about 114 km, 2 hrs 15 min), from Thirupparankundram to Alagar Kovil (about 32 km, 30 min) and from Alagar Kovil to Madurai (about 21 km, 30 min), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Madurai. The tour ends here.
