Today's travel: from Rajahmundry to Devipatnam (Papikondalu boat point) (about 46 km, 1 hr) and from Devipatnam (Papikondalu boat point) to Rajahmundry (about 46 km, 1 hr). Drive early to the boat point for the day cruise up the Godavari. Above Polavaram the river narrows and winds between the steep forested Papikonda hills, part of the Papikonda National Park; the boat stops at Perantalapalli, a hill village with a small ashram, and lunch is served on board.
