Drive from Pune to Pachad (Raigad base) (about 133 km, 2 hrs 45 min) and from Pachad (Raigad base) to Raigad (about 1 km, 15 min). Check in at your hotel in Raigad. Drive from Pune to Pachad at the foot of Raigad and see the samadhi of Jijabai, Shivaji Maharaj's mother. Climb the old stepped path past the Chitt Darwaja and Maha Darwaja to the top, explore the palace ruins, the market street and the throne platform as the light fades, and stay near the fort. Overnight stay in Raigad.
