1 Day Badrinath Yatra
Day 1: Badrinath Darshan and Mana Village
Start early from Joshimath (about 45 km, 1.5-2 hours drive) to reach Badrinath by mid-morning. After bathing in Tapt Kund, have darshan at the Badrinath temple, then visit Brahma Kapal for ancestral rites. In the afternoon, drive or walk to Mana village, explore Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa, and see Bheem Pul before returning to Joshimath by evening.
2 Days Badrinath Yatra
Day 1: Arrival and Badrinath Temple Darshan
Arrive in Badrinath after a scenic but long road journey from Rishikesh or Joshimath. After checking in, perform the ritual bath in Tapt Kund, the natural hot sulphur spring, before proceeding for darshan at the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Badrinarayan. In the evening, visit Brahma Kapal on the banks of the Alaknanda to offer pind daan and witness the evening aarti.
Day 2: Mana Village and Vasudhara Falls Trek
After breakfast, walk or drive the 3 km to Mana village, the last Indian village before the Tibet border, steeped in Mahabharata legends. Explore Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa, then continue to Bheem Pul, a natural rock bridge over the Saraswati river. For the adventurous, trek the 9 km (one way) to Vasudhara Falls, passing Charan Paduka, where a footprint is believed to be Vishnu's. Return to Badrinath by evening.
Kedarnath + Badrinath Combined Yatra
Day 1: Arrival in Rishikesh and Drive to Rudraprayag
Begin your yatra by arriving at Jolly Grant Airport or Rishikesh railway station. After a short rest, embark on a scenic drive along the Alaknanda River, passing Devprayag where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag to break the long journey.
Day 2: Rudraprayag to Badrinath via Joshimath
Drive from Rudraprayag to Badrinath, a journey of about 160 km that takes 7-8 hours. Pass through Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag, and Joshimath, the winter seat of Badrinath. Arrive in Badrinath by late afternoon, check in, and take a preliminary walk to the temple area.

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar/Rishikesh
Arrive at Haridwar or Rishikesh, the gateway to the Char Dham Yatra. Acclimatize to the lower altitudes and prepare for the journey ahead. In the evening, witness the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri (Haridwar) or Triveni Ghat (Rishikesh).
Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot (via Mussoorie)
