Mahesh Sri Ramkrishna Ashram Vidyalaya (Higher Secondary) is an educational institution in Hooghly District of West Bengal, India. Swami Premghanananda founded the institute in 1952 at Rishra. The institution got the affiliation from the W.B.B.S.E. in 1959 as a Madhyamik (secondary) school. And the affiliation from Higher Secondary Council in 2005 as a higher secondary school. At present the school has five sections (one nursery, two primary schools, one secondary and one higher secondary) under one umbrella.

Annapurna Temple, is a Hindu temple navaratna (nine-pinnacled) heritage situated on the bank of the Ganges at Rasmani ghat at Titagarh, Barrackpore in North 24 Paragana. The temple is similar to the Bhavatarini temple at Dakshineswar. Inside the main temple sanctum, you can see Lord Shiva and Maa Annapurna idols. The idol of Lord Shiva is made of silver and of Maa Annapurna is made of ashtadhatu (astha means eight and dhatu means metal) which is an alloy of eight metals. St. Olav's Church is a protestant church in Serampore, West Bengal, India. Also known as St Olave's Danish Church, it was built in the early 19th century, when the area was part of Fredriksnagore – then a small (50 km²) colony of Denmark-Norway. The former riverside suburban residence of the Governor-General of India and later the Viceroy of India. It was built in 1823 by then-Governor-General Lord Hastings. Its front lawn contains a marble fountain, which was brought from the Taj Mahal by Lord Hastings.

Wife of viceroy Lord Canning, Charlotte Canning was a painter and a naturalist. She spent her time in Barrackpore indulging in her passions. She remains fresh in the Bengali mind with a popular sweetmeat leḍikeni named after her. After she died in 1861, Lady Canning was buried at her favourite spot. There is a statue of Lord Canning nearby.

Originally a residence of Rastraguru Surendranath Banerjee, who used to live here for a considerable period of time.
