Najafgarh drain bird sanctuary

Najafgarh drain bird sanctuary and wetland ecosystem is composed of the wetland ecosystem and wildlife habitat on several kilometres of the Najafgarh drain (Delhi end of Sahibi River before it falls into Yamuna) which passes through southwest Delhi in India's capital territory. It includes the portion draining the depression or basin area that formed the once famous but now partially drained Najafgarh lake (Najafgarh jheel). It is a refuge to thousands of migratory waterbirds every winter. The winter months are the best time to visit it to see many flocks of wintering waterbirds. It is currently classified as a Protected Forest.

Najafgarh Lake

Najafgarh Lake (Najafgarh Marsh or Najafgarh Jheel), fed by Yamuna's tributary Sahibi River, used to be a vast lake in the south west of Delhi, near the town of Najafgarh, from which it takes its name. After the 1960s the Flood Control Department of Delhi canalised the Najafgarh lake area which came to be known as the Najafgarh drain, which led to the eventually partial drainage of the once huge and ecologically rich Najafgarh lake.

Church of Immaculate Conception

Church of Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic Church situated in Kanhai, sector 45, Gurgaon, Haryana, India. This is the only Roman Catholic Church in Gurgaon. The church mission was established by a capuchin friar in 1930 but the church building was constructed in year 2001 by efforts of Fr. The church is under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Delhi. This is the only Latin Church in Gurgaon.

Sheetla Mata Mandir Gurgaon

Sheetla Mata Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Shitala (Sheetla), wife of Guru Dronacharya who was the teacher of the Pandavas and Kauravas according to an Indian epic Mahabharata. The temple is located on Sheetla Mata Road in old Gurugram (earlier known as Gurgaon) city of Gurugram district in the state of Haryana in India. The shrine is visited by large numbers of people during Navaratri and other festivals. Ekalavya Temple

The Ekalavya temple is the only Hindu temple in the world dedicated to Ekalavya of the Mahabharata. It is located in the Khandsa village of Gurugram, Haryana, India. It is built atop the spot where Ekalavya cut his thumb and offered it to Guru Drona as Guru Dakshina. His thumb was buried in this location and a temple was built on top of it to honor this great hero. The Ekalavya temple is the only Hindu temple in the world dedicated to Ekalavya of the Mahabharata.

Aravali Biodiversity Park

The park on the Aravalli Range includes a number of trails and a native plant nursery and interpretive displays at the entrance. Aravali diversity-bio Park, Gurgaon (or Aravalli Biodiversity Park, Gurgaon) spreads over 392 acres, near the Guru Dronacharya metro station in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. The park contains ecologically restored semiarid-land vegetation. The park was opened to the public on World Environment Day, 5 June 2010.
