• Book your accommodation and darshan tickets (Special Entry or Seeghra) online via the TTD website well in advance, especially during festival seasons like Brahmotsavam, to avoid long queues.
• Carry minimal luggage, but do bring a water bottle, light snacks, and a small umbrella or raincoat, as the hill can experience sudden showers even in dry months.
• If you plan to walk the Alipiri or Srivari Mettu footpath, start early in the morning (around 5-6 AM) to avoid the heat and crowds, and wear comfortable, non-slip footwear with good grip.
• Utilize the free Anna Prasadam (meals) offered by TTD at the hilltop, but also keep some cash for other purchases; ATMs are available on Tirumala, but they may have long queues.
• Do not forget to visit the Sri Padmavathi Temple at Tiruchanur (about 5 km from Tirupati town) either before or after your Tirumala darshan, as tradition holds it essential for completing the pilgrimage.
