Yavatmal is a historic city and municipal council in Maharashtra, India, serving as the administrative headquarters of Yavatmal District. Located about 90 km from Amravati, 670 km from Mumbai, and 150 km southwest of Nagpur, it has a deep history spanning ancient Buddhist settlements, medieval Islamic rule, Maratha sovereignty, British colonial administration, and modern development as an educational and agricultural hub.
