Day 1

Indore: Rajwada and Sarafa

Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Ahmedabad in the morning. Drive from Ahmedabad to Indore (about 389 km, 7 hrs 45 min). Check in at your hotel in Indore. See the Rajwada, the Kanch Mandir and the Lal Bagh Palace, have darshan at Khajrana Ganesh, and eat at the Sarafa night market. Overnight stay in Indore.

Day 2

A day in Mandu

Today's travel: from Indore to Mandu (about 84 km, 1 hr 45 min) and from Mandu to Indore (about 91 km, 1 hr 45 min). Drive to Mandu on its plateau above the Narmada valley. See the Jahaz Mahal between two lakes, the Hindola Mahal, the marble tomb of Hoshang Shah and the Jami Masjid, and Rani Roopmati's pavilion on the southern edge, then return to Indore. Overnight stay in Indore.

Day 3

Ujjain and the train home

Drive to Ujjain for darshan at Mahakaleshwar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and see the Ram Ghat on the Shipra and the Kal Bhairav temple, then return to Indore for the train. Drive from Indore to Ujjain (about 57 km, 1 hr) and from Ujjain to Ahmedabad (about 395 km, 8 hrs), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Ahmedabad. The tour ends here.
