Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Indore in the morning. Drive from Indore to Mandu (about 84 km, 1 hr 45 min). Check in at your hotel in Mandu. Drive from Indore and enter Mandu through its gates on the ridge. The plateau was the capital of the Malwa sultanate from 1401; Hoshang Shah built the Jami Masjid and his own marble tomb, and Ghiyas-ud-din Khilji filled the royal enclave with palaces for his court. See the Jahaz Mahal and Hindola Mahal, the Champa Baoli with its cool underground rooms, and the Jami Masjid and tomb. Overnight stay in Mandu.
