Mandu: the royal enclave
Our driver picks you up from your hotel or home in Vadodara in the morning. Drive from Vadodara to Mandu (about 329 km, 6 hrs 30 min). Check in at your hotel in Mandu. Mandu sits on a plateau above the Narmada valley, ringed by walls and gates. In the royal enclave, see the Jahaz Mahal, the "ship palace" stretched between two lakes, the Hindola Mahal with its sloping walls, and the Champa Baoli step-well. In the evening, drive to the south edge of the plateau for sunset at Rani Roopmati's pavilion, from where, legend says, the queen gazed at the Narmada, and Baz Bahadur's palace below it. Overnight stay in Mandu.

Then head home. Drive from Mandu to Vadodara (about 325 km, 6 hrs 30 min), and drop at your hotel, home or the railway station in Vadodara. The tour ends here.
