Overview

•Alibag, also known as Alibaug, is a coastal city and municipal council in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India.
•It serves as the headquarters of Raigad district and is part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, situated about 96 kilometres (60 mi) from Mumbai and 143 kilometres (89 mi) from Pune.
•The city is a holy place for Padmakshi Renuka, also known as the goddess of Konkan, and features beaches, temples, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Alibag offers a range of accommodation options, from luxury resorts and boutique hotels to budget guesthouses and homestays. Many properties are located near popular beaches such as Alibag Beach and Kashid Beach, providing easy access to the coast. It is advisable to book in advance, especially during peak season from October to February.

Visit between October and February for pleasant weather; avoid the monsoon months (June to September) due to heavy rainfall and rough seas.
