Overview
- •Devprayag is a picturesque town in the lower Himalayas in Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
- •It is famous as the place where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet and take the name Ganga (Ganges).
- •Around two hours from Rishikesh, Devprayag can be visited as a day trip, or used as a stopping off point to somewhere higher up in the Himalayan hills.
Accommodation
The only accommodation in the town itself is an upscale resort. There are a couple of guesthouses on the main road as you enter from Rishikesh, and a couple more overlooking the town on the road to Kedarnath.
